Ian Lara is a rising-star NYC comedian with an HBO comedy special and is the host of the Adult Hood podcast.
DJ 8PM (neat name) is, to my knowledge, a DJ and co-host alongside Lara.
Their thick New York accents bring a welcomed charm to the podcast world, as the two banter back and forth about things adults have to, or should, deal with.
Though Adult Hood is a show hosted primarily by a comedian, it might be a stretch to label the show a ‘comedy podcast,’ since much of the content focuses on everyday life situations, which aren’t always laughable.
Adult Hood does a great job at providing rational insight into how grown folks need to act, while allowing humor to be a recurring theme.
