Joe List is whiny and self-centered, but he knows how to hold his own as a co-pilot on podcasts.
Mark Normand’s partner in crime on Tuesdays with Stories, List joined aspiring comic Raanan Hershberg for a podcast run aptly titled, “Joe and Raanan Talk Movies.”
For about a year and a half starting in April 2021, Joe List sat down with his comedian friend (and neighbor?) Raanan Hershberg to talk about movies of a certain type (sports, war, Tarantino, etc.) and hashed out their opinions with each other.
Surprisingly, Joe List’s auto-contrarian takes are upstaged by Raanan Hershberg’s dislike of (almost) anything (Hershberg might be the only english-speaking human to hate Forest Gump).
Nevertheless, I enjoyed their fresh perspectives on classic movies, but unfortunately, the podcast burned too bright, too fast and looks to be done as of September 2022.
