The radio industry strikes again.
Radio giant, Entercom, strikes a deal with Urban One to take over WTEM (The Team 980).
Shake-ups of this nature equate to changes in your listening habits, especially if you been a listener of the Team 980’s lineup.
Scott Linn, the glue and conscience of Steve Czaban’s radio show (in whatever form or iteration) is one of the most recent casualties of the radio business.
This one hurts. Steve Czaban can overcome the loss of a Steve Solomon, but Scott Linn is something more valuable (no offense, Solly and Solly-ites). Scott Linn is the necessary buffer between Czaban and my own personal sensibilities. For all his fence-sitting and excessive rambling, Scott Linn was the most relatable personality of Steve Czaban-hosted shows.
I reserve hope that Czaban and Linn can reunite to deliver a radio show sometime in the future… but I honestly have very little interest in listening to future Steve Czaban shows without Scott Linn.
