After checking out Shane Gillis’s most recent special on Youtube (Live from Austin), I had to give Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast another shot after my initial lukewarm reception.
Upon further review, Gillis and McCusker might have the best comedy podcast going, and they appeal to the masses that are just slugging through the day.
Where other podcasts hosted by comedians unknowingly alienate their listeners by recounting their lifestyles of the rich and famous, Matt and Shane are able to remain grounded and relatable.
Shane Gillis is a laid back jock and is on fire in the comedy world, and Matt McCusker is probably the most interesting suburban dad you’ll ever come across.
Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast episodes shoot right to the top of my instant-listen playlist (as long as both hosts are on the show).
